Advertising with myholidayhomeuk

1. Why choose us?
We are a stylish, easy to use, cost effective advertising tool for your holiday home, giving you the freedom to release your holiday home letting potential. We do not charge commission and are not one of those sites with thousands of holiday homes on offer. We will advertise your home to a world wide audience via a number of strategic marketing programs including press and the web.

2. How do I advertise with you?
Simply click on the ‘advertise your home’ feature on the home page and follow the simple "3 easy steps" instructions. Here you will add unlimited copy, up to 15 images, your price structure (high, medium and low season) and your holiday home’s availability.

3. How much will it cost?
We charge a flat fee of only £50 which is less than £1 per week for the year and only £25 for each additional property per year you add, with no hidden extra’s or commission. This fee includes a full page for your holiday home’s advert including copy, images, pricing and the availability calendar feature. Also you can add any discount deals via the ‘special offer’ feature to your property at any point.

4. How do I pay?
You have two options when you are ready to pay. The first is to pay on completion of uploading your advert. You can pay online via our automated PayPal card payment system. The second option is to send a cheque to myholidayhomeuk to:

This option will make the process of making your advert go live take longer.

Managing your Advert

5. How do I upload my information?
To upload your information simply click on the ‘advertise your home’ section on the home page and follow the simple "3 easy steps" instructions. Adding your copy, images, pricing, availability and optional web link could not be easier.

6. How many pictures can I upload?
You can upload up to 15 images in the ‘advertise your home’ section. Preferred format is JPEG and maximum size is 500kb per image.

7. How long before my advert is live?
Once you have uploaded all the relevant information for your advert it will take between one to two days before your advert becomes live.

8.How will I take a booking?
The customer will email you direct regarding bookings and your availability. This gives you chance to build up a report for future use and you do not pay any commission.

9. Can I edit my advert?
You can change any elements of your advert at any point within the ‘owners admin area’ feature. This is a great way to keep your advert looking fresh and maximise customer interest.

10. How do I edit my availability?
Simply change the availability on the calendar in the owner admin area. Once you have amended any dates and sent this will be updated instantly.

11. Is it easy to use?
We have designed all aspects of the myholidayhomeuk web site to make it as simple to use as possible for you the homeowner and the customer. Our easy to use navigation, clear page layouts and precise instructions guarantee that homeowner and customer will find what they are looking for as quickly as possible.

12. Can I have a link to my own web-site?
We do understand that many holiday home owners have their own web sites, so we do include this link feature at no addition cost to you the homeowner.

13. Can I delete my holiday home at any point?
Yes there is the facility to delete your holiday home, whether this is due to sale of the property or a change of circumstances. We do not charge for this service, but unfortunately do not refund for the deleted period.

Problem solving

14. I can’t upload my information to your site?
Content from your advert consists of copy, images, pricing and availability. Problems with uploading images may be that they are not saved in the correct format which is JPEG and may be more than the 500kb maximum size.

1. Why choose myholidayhomeuk?
At myholidayhomeuk we pride ourselves on creating an easy to use search engine for you and your family to find the perfect holiday home. We do not charge any commission to either yourself or to the holiday home owner thus keeping prices to minimum, giving you a cost effective holiday property.

2. How do I use this site?
Our main aim is to provide you with a detailed holiday home search enabling you to find the perfect holiday home. There are two different ways to search for the properties. The first is to click on the UK graphic map to find the region and then the county you wish to stay in this will give you all the holiday homes in each area. Secondly, you can make your selection via the quick search form on the home page this will give you all relevant properties that meet your criteria.

3. How do I contact the home owner?
When you are ready to contact the holiday home owner with any questions or queries you will be able to access this feature through the ‘email owner’ link again at the bottom of the chosen holiday homes full page advert. This is a great way to contact the home owner direct to discuss any questions, giving you precise and detailed answers from the source.

4. How do I book my holiday home?
Once you have chosen the holiday home you prefer, the booking process is dealt direct between you and the holiday home owner. Each property owner will have their own way of processing a booking, but, as a guideline, you the customer should expect to pay a deposit generally somewhere between 10% - 50% of the total rental to secure and confirm the booking. This amount can be in the form of a personal cheque or bank transfer; some owners have the ability to accept credit cards. Once the deposit payment has been made and received, the owner should confirm the booking and receipt of your payment by letter or by e-mail. The final balance would normally become due around 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday.

6. How can I tell if a property is available?
The easiest way to find out if a property is available is to use the availability calendar function which is linked to each full page holiday home adverts. This feature is updated on a regular basis by the home owner, so gives you an accurate guide.

If you have any queries on the dates provided you should email the homeowner direct for more information.

7. How do I give feedback on a holiday home?
To do this you will need to contact the home owner direct, either through the enquires option on full page holiday home advert, by phone or personal email.

8. Can I receive more details on a property?
Some holiday home owners have their own web pages on the internet, and you can link up to them via the ‘visit web site’ link situated at the bottom of the full page advert. Here, you may find more information on the chosen property. Alternatively some properties may have printed literature that they will send in the post to you. For this you will need to discuss in the send home owner enquiry option.

9. Am I insured with myholidayhomeuk?
At myholidayhomeuk we are only an advertising media for each individual holiday home owner and not a traditional travel agent or letting service. Therefore we do not offer any insurance with regards to guarantees on your holiday or holiday home. We recommend you take out your own personal insurances to cover yourself or discuss with the home owner.
